Been spending most of today sandblasting the fire damage off my AJP8 4.7 engine project. Obviously most of it is bare blasted aluminium. So the next question is what colours do I paint it.

Car is knightfire red so orange is out smile. I was thinking sommat like the old john player special colours.
Not sure polishing the aluminium is very lasting in an engine bay, so up for ideas. Remember its a dark red car. Itll have an AJP8 logo on the fuel rail and black whirlwind pipes on short 4.5 induction pipes.

Shame cos you need an engine picture to colour in to see what it'd look like.

There was one engine where almost every component was painted a different colour. It looked like a collection of lego bricks.

it goes forward as there is no room in the griff to run it straight down and back as in the cerb.
its all in stainless steel, with equal length stepped headers, going into 4 short secondry pipes, then 2 pipes down under the car, ( one pipe per bank of cylinders).

I think in my case orange engine and red car would be an eye opener too far.

As for the inside, I suppose it depends what you are after with your engine.

I obviously don't know enough about these engines to say whether any of the stuff they are changing needs changing or not. It sounds good.
