Don't know if this has been covered already, but worth noting.

I fitted a Halfords 072 2.5 years ago. Replaced under warranty 6 months later (turned out to be a knackered starter but never mind). Replaced again 2 weeks ago, and they reminded me that warranty runs from the date of original purchase.

I have seen a few people mention that they can replace their battery every 3 years under warranty and this is not the case.

This will in all liklihood be my last battery from Halfords, as I will eventually go to a red top, but in fairness it was a good investment. It now has a Bosch 075 fitted (5year warranty, 600A Cold Crank), so I have another 2.5 years left of warranty. Opted for this one owing to the 072 no longer fitting. Cost me about £16 for the upgrade. Terminals are the wrong side, but cables plenty long enough and because it sits lower can still get to the positive terminal without removing cover.

Yeah they are right about the warrenty being from original purchase, but Euro Car Parts are the cheapest for batteries around, id go there for a bosch battery if you need one. Remember battery warrenties only cover the cells being faulty. If it runs flat thats the owners fault wink
