Anyone know this Cerbera?
Discussion
Hello
I put this post on the TVR page but it was suggested I put it here as I might have more luck.
Just wondering if anyone knows this car?

I haven't been to look yet as am waiting for hubby to have some free time to come with me!!
Thanks S

must have been driven buy someone tall due to the wear on the bottom of the steering wheel (rubbed on their knees!) has been up forsale for a while so might be able to knock the price down. strange comment about the special high spec seats, seems like a normal cerbera seat from 2000 on.
looks good though, nice colour, someone's fitted a stainless steel dash and handbrake. got to be worth a look at least.

it would be a good idea to go have a look without your other half but make sure you leave all cheque books and credit cards at home
this way if you like the car and go and veiw it a second time you will be calm and more focused on your second visit.
buying any sports car especially a TVR and trying to listen to your head and not your heart is almost impossible.

i think it is cheap if you can take the car to dan rather than him going to veiw it. from a logistical point of veiw it might be worth trying AUSTEC or APM to see if they do vehicle inspections as they are both in that area. any decent garage shouldn't have any problem with you taking the car for inspection as long as your paying
right then, i have been stalking these forums for ages just reading and gaining some info as im planning on getting a cerbera in the next couple of months. So today i went and had a quick look at the above ceb as its only down the road from me and the colour is really eye catching. So i have seen it on ebay for ages so knew that it had stood for a while. well both front tyres were completely flat, i would say it has not moved since its been for sale. the discs are also rusted all over, not such an issue as this happens when i wash my car.
The interior looked like a nice colour combo, not as bright as the pictures make out. Although the wear is also worse than the pictures lead to believe, the steering wheel is in bad shape and for that money i would want the seat to be re-trimmed as its also in a bad way.
All the alloys look like they are in good condition, very dirty but no big kerb marks in them, the rear tyres also looked ok. the front im sure have seen better days as they were parked on a small kerb and like i say were flat.
Now i know the car isnt going to be mint as its 10 years old and to be fair the body work didnt look that bad, although it had been raining so the car was wet. the worst damage was a scrape to the metal on the rear arch. There was also some bad scratching around the rear bumper, if it was on a panel then you could probably polish it out but due to its location i dont think you would get a DA in there with a pad. Apart from that the car looked straight.
I spent a good 5/10 mins looking around the car, the dealer was out on the forecourt but not once came over to see if i needed assistance, maybe a 22 year old wasnt what he was expecting or just didnt take me serious.
well i hope that might be of some use to anyone, hopefully i will soon also have a shinny cerbera on the drive
Chris

I would think it best that the dealer stays away. It gives you a proper chance to go over the car without anyone looking over your shoulder, and trying to guide you away from obvious problem area,s(Which they do)
I went to look at a Hummer yesterday. I was a bit surprised when i asked to take it for a drive, that he gave me the keys and let me go off on my own. It gave me enough time to drive it properly and and look at any faults on the vehicle(Which there were) This benifited me when it came down to negotiating the price.

Hi,strangely enough i passed this car today and turned around to go have a look, not knowing of your question. (has anyone seen this cerb)
I have owned a 4.2 for the last 6 years and thankfully without fault! (touch wood)
I'm a great believer in first impressions which is probably why i spent about 1 min looking at this car!
Yes looks nice from a distance,as does photo, wheels dirty and clearly left out in the elements for some time!
I have never seen a TVR for sale in this garage before, and therefore they may not be the most experienced in this department.(I would expect a car like this to be kept in the show room!)
Hope your search for a cerb is a successful one,you will never look back (only when leaving another sports car at the lights!!!
