Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me, I've tried searching but haven't found anything and I need to find what cable is required to connect a laptop to my cerbie to check all the sensors. It has no faults or anything but just want to make sure smile

If anyone could provide me with a link that would be great as I'm not very good with computers and technical things so if you say "you need a X27-44436DG5 lead" it wont really mean alot. Its worth mentioning I wont be the one touching it, leaving that to a computer literate friend, I just thought I had better get the connection lead to save him buying it. hehe

Thanks in advance to the kind folk of pistonheads thumbup

If your laptop only has a USB connection, you can still use a R232-to-USB cable - just need to configure the appropriate usb port to com 1 and then do a google search for the PL -2303 usb to serial driver by Prolific technology Inc and install that.

Surely that driver will only work with one type of USB device, not all usb serial devices.
