has anyone ever considered getting a cerb done in chrome effect is this possible anyway? having seen aston martin and a porsche in that livery i was wondering what my cerb would look like, wondered what the general consensus would be amongst fellow phers for this look.just thought i would chuck it in for monday night thread

I dont like green cars. That said, yours looks like Aston Martin Sage green - perhaps one of the nicest most sophisticated looking colours for a Cerb. To cover it in chromey crap would be doing it a disservice IMHO - I think your car looks lovely as is. Even if it is a bit, err, green... hehe

Edit: Hang on a minute, unless my memory is playing tricks on me, you sold that car didnt you?? Bought another? thumbupbounce They always come back... evil

I'm afraid that would be the last thing I'd ever want to do to a Cerbera in my opinion. (Save write it off, kill the engine, drive over a cliff, set it on fire, paint it luminous pink (actually I'd rather have it pink than chrome but that's another story) ect ect)

i suppose it could work on a cerb, TVR's are no stranger to crazy paint jobs.

the only problems i see would be

1. cost (very expensive)

2. you'll need to buy a some very dark glasses because when the sun shines on the bonnet it will be like starring at the sun from 3 feet away.

no never sold my car and no intention yet,but some good points of view would never change the colour anyway quite like the californian sage now wasnt a colour i particually wanted but all the other criteria was right and that was more important to me.

Many of these crome jobs are wraps, not resprays, so it is fully reversible.

I thought about painting my Griffith bonnet in chrome as a feature to the overall car styling, however I was advised it looks best on surface with plenty of contour and best to avoid large areas as the finish can be patchy and ruin the overall affect. Didn't in the end.

Funy this thread has come up. The Cerb is booked in for next week to have it wrapped in gold chrome. Its costing a bit so it better look good.
