Little did I know when I bought my Cerbie it was decatted! Failed on headlight levelling too, but that's hopefully nice and simple.

As a slither of hope, does anyone have any CATs I can borrow for the MOT around Guildford area or travel distance? Or any suggestions? I can't face forking out for new cats just at the minute.

Book your car in to APM for MOT and get niggles atteneded to at same time. Andy being a TVR (and Cerb) expert will be able to ensure your car passes its mot.

I can potentially help you out - when would you want the cats for?

Steve - I think he has a 4.2 rather than a 4.5 ?

Quite right, I can't help with a 4.2 frown Can't think of any one I know with a 4.2 close by, only 4.5s.

I am near Sutton if that`s any good and have a set you can borrow. I haven`t ever used them for the test and always passed ok (except this week when the headlights and fog light all decided not to work). Probably best to call mobile during the day 07775517531. Regards Tim.

Thanks all for the help and offers! It turns out I've been a complete and utter muppet getmecoat

On the phone the guy was complaining because the cerbie had taken up a 2 hour slot and stank out the garage with an 8% reading. Instant thought, cats. Turns out when I picked her up it was only 1.3% monoxide after running her for a while.

Further inspection back at work found a leak post cat which I'm guessing must be the cause, either that or running rich for some reason.

Anyway, sorry for the jumpy post which turned out to be a lot of nothing! Here's wishing for flying colours next run.
