Well a couple of years ago I was looking for a Cerbera though being used to yank iron I ended up being "safe" and bought a Mustang instead.

Anyway the urge is returning and every now and then I look out to see what's for sale...

This looks as sensible to me as any: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1485922.htm

It's a well known car apparently having been owned by TVR as a development car. My thoughts are that:

1) it will be well known to owners on this forum
2) it will be a shining example, having been factory maintained
3) For the above 2 reasons and maybe others it'll be a good buy?

So, almost waiting to be shot down in flames as I know very little about Cerberas (but I know plenty about cars, having maintained all of mine, from a V12 jag to a Callaway twin turbo Corvette) I'd be grateful if anyone here has any opinions on this car, good or bad?

Thanks, Malc

It's also on ebay .. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-TVR-CERBERA-4-5-TVRS-OW...

IMO it looks like a lot of TVR for circa 12k.
Development car with some unique features, 4.5 ,lovely colour combination, great provenance and really original condition.
A Porsche, Ferrari or fast Ford with these credentials would be big money.
These single headlamp ,early Cerbs look so well proportioned on 16" wheels yum.
If i had any cash left, i'd own it.

ETA discussed before on here... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

This is a car to buy for the long term - It'll be worth money in the future and we'll all be kicking ourselves for not buying it.

Price dropped to 11k....was 13?

Bargain or money pit?

Does anyone have any idea of recent history? Been driven? Standing for a few years? Full service for peace of mind?

The ebayer seems to be a trader? The pistonheads ad I dont think is a trader ad.
The car didnt reach its reserve first time (£11,100) or the second time (£10,500) but now is for sale at £10995.

Yeah I'm actually wondering if it is such a great bet: it could have one-off parts or it could be that, as a test mule, it may have had some abuse or excessively hard driving or something (I may of course be totally wrong)...

If I get serious about a Cerbera I'd do better to benefit from advice and knowledge from owners who have experience of maintaining and repairing standard cars.

This could be a real heartbreaker though probably of moe interest to someone with a lot of Cerbera experience rather than a potential rookie like me.

It seems to have attracted rather less interest than I would've expected for whatevcer reason.

I also notice the dealer has some bad feedback...
