2 years gone still rebuilding
Discussion
Just thought I'd post some pictures of the rebuild so far. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I would appreciate all the feedback good and bad. The cerb is going to the fibre glassers this week for the first set of arches to be moulded and made.

Next step, start new job next week, move house next month and set up the ajp in the rig that I'm building and hopefully getting it in the car before the next addition to the family comes in august.
Regards Simon

Hmmmmm.... Well my head tells me I shouldnt like it, but my eyes tell me it looks pretty good
It's subtle and doesn't spoil the lines and shape of the Cerb. Nice Job
.
PS Don't make the exhaust too chavvy by having Quad tailpipes - 2 nice big Ovals filling the cut outs you have made would look cool and classy

It's gonna be a looker when it's done. I'd imagine the wider track is going to make it very good around the bends. This is something I've imagined for my own car but know I'll never do. In my imagination however, I would have filled out the sills to keep a proportion and flowing line to the look. A speed 12 look but not so pumped on steroids but this is your car, your dream not mine.
Good luck with the project. 2 years gone! Does this mean you are half way through?

Bit too MG SV for me, I hope it was an accident damaged car before you 'butchered' it?

You beat me to it!Tim

That's exactly what it reminded me of at first.
Although I still think it has potential?
Lets hope he decides to smooth all the curves, as that is what I think is so distinctive about the Car!
Thanks for the comments chaps. The arches were formed from moulding foam and then several layers of glass tissue and finished in filler. Moulds will be taken from these and then a complete set of arches will be fitted, the bucks are to fragile to stay on.
The only thing I would say is that "he" has smoothed the arches, the photos and primer don't show very well but there is no distinct fold around the arch, not like there is on the Mg or the likes of the amg mercs. I agree this would not do the car any favours, I was basing it on the early version of the rollcentre gt cerb.

I started shaping the arches ages ago just haven't had the time to spend on it as I would like. The rear has been left alone but the front trackwidth has been increased by 25mm on each side by fabricating new wishbones. Next problem will be the track rods in the rack not being long enough but I understand that the later sagaris ones are longer or by making spacers, I have been following the bump steer topic closely.
