Any one got one of those supports for a baby seat to fit in the back they don't need any more that they wouldn't mind parting with? If not any one got one fitted they could post some pics of so I can make my own.
As for the seat it's self, is it a recaro sport I'm looking for? (sorry can't find the search on my mobile) I'm guessing they are a lot more compact than others, the one we have can hardly fit in the front of the cerb never mind the back, it only just fits in the back of an E90 bm...
Thanks
Andy

Edit- sorry don't know what happened to the title. Any how I just found it's the 9 months+ seats that are much more upright, he's only 3 months so I guess I'll have to wait a while!

I put money on a Cerb recently that had one of these baby seat bars behind the passenger seat.
Unfortunately, the idiot salesman stuffed the car an hour after I left it. Probably fate.

It was an L shaped piece of tube with a flange on each end to be securely bolted to the floor and tunnel.
I would let you have it if I had the car.

The upright metal bar was designed for the TVR supplied seats AFAIK.
I had a Recaro Start previously and that didnt need a bar AFAIK.
But as you say this is all irrelevant whilst your child needs a rear facing seat.

I have the metal plate that was supplied to go over the back seat behind the pasengers seat, it is shaped to allow the seat belt to be used.

Basically it flattens the base so a car seat can be fitted safely on top, is this the sort of thing you are looking for?

It sounds like just the thing, have you used it with a baby seat at all?

Thanks for that link, it sounds great I'll have a look when I get near a PC, the hot links don't work on my mobile.

Thanks to whoever put a title in for me too!

The front of the plate is curved and designed to go over the 'L' shaped bar.

I have the kit but it's never been fitted, Can take measurements and photos if it helps?

Ah that would be great thanks. Do you know if it's just for the TVR child seats or others too? I'm sure I read on here a long time ago that you needed a it with any seat, but now I'm on a PC I find the search is down...

Ah the search is back, found the old thread I was thinking of. Seems you can use the Recaro Start with or with out the support, but it's better with it. The other thread has pics so don't worry - thanks though.

If anyone had got one of those supports they are happy to part with let me know, it's going to be a while till he's big enough to need it, so I've got a while.

I had a recaro start and I am not convinced having a bar would have added anything to the safety, support etc.... I never once missed not having the bar.

Edited to add - I can see only one person suggesting that the recaro start MIGHT benefit from the bar.

Ok, I guess the seat belt holds it mostly anyway. If I get the seat before finding a bar I'll give it a good wiggle & see for my self.
I don't think the carpet would ever recover from having a bar fitted!
