4" pipes

Does anybody know of any M.O.T. failures due to taking of the rear boxes and running straight through with 4"
pipes,leaving cats on though.

Can't see why that'd cause any problems - you've still got the same gases coming out of your rear end at the end of the day [snigger].

They're not that big at the tail of the car, more like 2.5 or 2.75

4 inchers would look a bit Lax Power surely????

Sorry Joos, don't like them. It looks Lax to me.

Would probably look better if they were 4" until they were out of sight under the car. They look a bit like those exhaust trims you buy at Halfwits.

Whilst on the subject... has anyone fitted any nice exhaust trims (preferably that do disappear out of sight under the car)?

I'm not a big fan of plain slash-cut exhausts, something more "engineered" would look a bit better, IMHO. Even if that just means a bit thicker metal at the end.

I'm sure I saw one advertised with Aston Martin DB7 tail pipes. It was a Lemon Sorbet colour one that was advertised in PH classifieds for some time...
