My 4.5s steering has developed a dead spot when at idle. i believe this to be the pump at fault. Possibly the valve is sticking.
A local porsche specialist reccomended draining the fluid and using engine flush in the system to un stick the pumps valve.
Any one heard or tried this method before? Also if I end up replacing the pump anyone know if this is the right one cause it looks a cheap price? £86

Most likely the key on the jackshaft has failed. Check it's turning with the engine running by looking down between the body and the exhasut on the drivers side.

It's still an engine out job to fit a new PAS. Try draining it and filling with new fluid.
