It's been kicking around on here for quite sometime now, was for sale in holland ( i think? ) now back in the uk. With less than 1k on it no one seems to have snapped it up.

Anyones reasons behind it?

Its value is based on its low mileage. Buy it - drive it - get the problems you can get with any new car, but with no factory back up = unknown costs + massive depreciation. You could buy a Spd 6 for a third of the price and spend 10k making it into a better car than this one.

This car is worth £30K all day, why do people under value a good Cerbera every time a good one is up for sale at a realistic price

If its worth £30K then it will sell for £30K.

Most people buy Cerbies to drive them, not for them to be garage queens. No point in spending £10-15k over the average price of a SP6 in excellent condition just to then drive it and lose the £10-15k because it then has miles on it. Just as Gazzab says really.

2001 was one of the worst years for S6 construction so a rebuild is likely. A good service, a 4.3 and replacing rock hard tyres eyc will probably be £10K so £40K all in. Looks like a nice car but may be a tab on the pricey side.

I havent got 30k and my heart is set on a 4.5, so even if I had the funds for it id proberbly get a ragged V8 instead of a gleaming S6

The seller seems to think that the low milage adds value, it would appear that potential buyers think it reduces value. That milage over that time on any engine will do it no good at all, let alone on a Speed 6. Nearly 30k for a car that probably needs an engine rebuild? It would seem most people think not!

I wonder if anyone would pay £40k for it if it had the 4.5litre upgrade? £40k for a new Cerb with arguable the best engine and a 5 year warranty is probably pretty good value.

But it is hardly new, regardless of the mileage, the petrol lines still have got 8 years on them, as have the suspension bushes, the wiring, the HT leads, dampers. Although certain components won't have gone through many duty cycles, there will still be a number of items that will be perishing with age, not mileage.

Been kinda wondering about that one myself...under £10k...deff negotiable down to 9 and poss below...and then drop in one of Dom's S6 4.3/4.5 upgrades....

Is this a known motor? (ie a bad one!??)

I reckon it's been clocked. hehe
Wouldn't be the first time. rolleyes

Ofcourse, my opinion doesn't mean anything & i am sure the previous MOT's will back the mileage up. biggrin

Or a SteveH LS for the same price. Choices, choices.

Ahhh....so "barge" and "pole"?

Question tho...."if" it does have higher mileage, but then you give the engine the Dom treatment....is the rest of the running gear good for high miles??

Assuming the gearbox would need a good looking at and probably a new clutch to cope with additional torque/power?

I viewed this one in November, looked good inside and out, also sounded fantastic.

There was a service history, but no file full of receipts and the dealer said he knew nothing of its history, the relevance of an engine rebuild seemed somewhat lost on him.

Oh and the Union Jack sticker had been removed, it wasn't hiding any obvious damage.
