Cerbera launch at Pinewood Studios
Discussion
Hi All,
Topsparks (nice one James) gave me these photo's to post up ages ago and I / we never got around to it from memory. So I thougt I'd post them up.
I'd be interested if anyone here has one of the cars or attended the event for history more than anything else.
Was from an event at Pinewood Studios to Launch the Cerb, I'll let James explain more of the story!

Cheers,
Ben

Thanks Ben,my lack of being able to post pics is legendary!.These were taken by a mate of mine(Ray),who was a mechanic for Samuelson lighting who were based at Pinewood studios (Ben Samuelson of TVR Dad owned the company)this was the launch party of the Cerbera, people were test driving the cars. The silver Cerb had to have a new gearbox fitted, which is why its on the ramps.
I went to that event. I can't have been any older than about 13-14yrs so could only passenger at the time. My dad got the invite through Team Central Brum after having waited a handful of years for the car 'with the new engine' to be developed. Ben Samuelson took us out in the green car then they swapped over. The car was a bit of a mule but certainly had some kick and as it was our first TVR experience pretty much cemented our position on the waiting list. I remember a guy taking out the silver one who owned a Griff and driving it like he stole it so whether that had anything to do with the gear box or not - who knows! Dad took delivery in 1996 and hasn't looked back since, in fact I'm now hankering after one too. A real classic.
