My Oil pressure guage is doing some mighty funny things. One min its up where it should be 40 to 60 the next thing its resting on the pin at 0, quick blip of the trottle and it shoots back up again. My Oil level is fine I have no leeks, is my oil pump going?? do I have a faulty gauge?? The car sounds and is running fine?? Any ideas anyone experienced the same?? help

Please see the attached thread. It may help. Had mine changed recently, and its reading what it should.

It might also be a minor electrical problem.

Is the oil cloudy on the inside of the oil filler cap?
Do a search on here for head gasket problems. Hopefully not :fingerscrossed: but symptons sound comparable.

I doubt it, it is mechanical.
Could be something simple like a pressure relief spring broken or something a bit more serious.
I would get it looked at ASAP.
