Boot rack??

Any one tried one of these? i am looking at someway of getting 4x wheels to trackdays, what about a tow bar!

You can get a set of 4 wheels inside as long as you don't have passengers. Graham took a set to Spa last year...

Mind you, probably not if they're your road blistering drag width things!

You may joke, but did you ever see Steve Heath and his purple monster Wedge, fitted with a tow bar and trailer to take the tyres to sprints

I cant imagine a boot rack will work on a cerb, certainly not if you put anything heavy on it.
You can get 4 wheels into a cerb (boot plus inside the car) but it wont be easy to fit the driver in as well.
There was a pic of a cerb on here some 8 or so years ago that had a tow bar fitted. I am not sure if it was for real or was a photoshop. It would be quite funny to build a small trailer to carry your wheels but clad it in fiberglass maybe using TVR panels, badges, lights etc etc

Ive tried to get a towbar for my cerb but have been told you cant fit them by numerous garages.

Didn't shpub used to tow his wheels to the circuits? Not on a Cerb mind.

Not a towbar but could you make some sort of detachable rack that sits behind the car a bit like a bikerack?
It needs thinking about as there would be a fair bit of weight bouncing up and down.
Maybe even get a bit cunning and have some mounting points for support behind the numberplate that have removeable steel bars / supports in the boot to the chassis.
When you need to use it you remove the numberplate and use the fixings to support the rack along with bars underneath to the chassis.
It would take a bit of thinking about but it could be done I reckon with extra bits that unbolt when it is not required.
You would then have a numberplate / tail light board behind your wheels or something a bit slicker if you wanted.

I haven't given it any major thought just a suggestion.
