Carpet Disaster

Went out for a blat in the Sunday afternoon sun, and on reaching one particular stretch of road I know well i stretched my right foot. On snatching third (by which time things are moving quite quickly) the accelerator stuck open . Knocked it into neutral and for some reason thought to checked the carpet, which had moved up and jammed the accelerator, quickly pulled it back and normal service was resumed few. Anyway another half an hours driving and my hearbeat had returned to normal. Happened once before in the race car (not carpet related), the end result of that one was quite expensive .

Anyway check your carpets folks.

Which Toyota were you driving??

I had the same thing happen to me , i removed the carpet and replaced with lino it's thin quite cheap and can be bought from most hardware stores.

The carpet is velcro'd though so that it shouldn't move. Unless you've replaced it in the past and not replaced the velcro...
