I think I want a Cerbera again

I got rid of the Purple one and bought a very very lovely XK8
But I miss the Cerb and Im thinking of selling the Jag.

Anybody fancy doing a deal?
The Jags worth about £8k - just spent £4500 on it so its sorted - if any one wants more info and some photos drop me a line

I am on my 3rd Cerb. It is a difficult affliction to shake off. The pain of large bills starts to go and the need for another grows. You see another cerb and you feel physical and emotional pain!

Have you tried an XKR ?

I have driven an XKR and they certainly shift and I absolutely love the look and the drive of the Jag. Its effortless and very comfortable but theres just something missing............. you know what I mean.

The Cerb was awful in the rain, it was awful over bumps, it was awful in the multi-story and it was awful to go out in at night. The heater was awful, the blower was awful, trying to park it was awful and the bills were awfully high - and I'm awfully anxious to get one back in the garage

Good man every single one of those reasons is what was putting me off buying one. But I'm SO glad I didn't listen to my sensible side, or girlfriend in fact. All the flaws are what makes it so great when you get the right day on the right road, nout else matters.

Buy one, you know you will regret it if you dont!

Edit to say, my friends dad had a chim, which he sold for an XKR. The XKR is now for sale..

Hum, mines fairly planted in the wet and OK over bumps. Nitrons and Eagle F1's sorted out the tramlining.
Certainly awful in the multi-story. That nice pic of mine at the top of the multi-story was almost where it got left. Fine getting up but the route down was very tight. It spiralled down on almost full lock.

My heaters OK, the aircon works after I spent ages fixing leaks, the bills have been reasonable, but not the upgrades

The thing is - everytime you see it and especially drive it you just want to drive it more. I struggle to keep within my 7k a year allowance on mileage.

Jag XK8, well made, nice car, very sensible but so dull. Cerbera, full of faults but the bit's they got right are so right. Stunning, mental and so addictive. Just like that very naughty girl with the very short red dress, you just know she's gonna be trouble, but would'nt you just love to spend a bit of "time" with her.

i'm sure i'll get shot for this and this is by no means an attempt at a sale but have you considered a different TVR rather than a cerb, they all have that something special about them, griff's and chimera's can be cheaper to run, better turning circles and a little more comfortable!

Hi there, is that a classic policy? if so, which company please? I have a couple of these policies and they wont let me go above 5000 miles, which if this sun stays out, might not be enough..

I have actually - Both Griffs and chims would be considered - do you know of any potentials

no griff or chimera's but have a T350c up for grabs, they're very comfortable and easier to drive but to honest the bills will be similar to a cerb.

its worth trying different models, you should go to your local TVR club met and talk to owners and see their cars, i'm sure they would be more than happy to take you out for a spin.

i best keep quiet now! don't want to upset the cerbera boys

I've just insured mine, as a second car, with Mannings. £385/year Unlimited mileage!
