Info for Alarm problems....

I noticed in a few of the old threads that there have been problems with the alarm setting but the door and boot not locking, windows not going up etc.

This just happened to me yesterday so I just thought I'd post what the source of the problem was.

The little door closure sensor at the bottom of the door had one of the wires corroded and broken leaving an open circuit so the car thought the door was still open hence the fact that it didn't lock anything. I changed the broken connector and everything is fine again.
