SHouldnt really be a drain. Ive 4 times left the car for 2+ weeks and always started when i went back to start first time.

My battery lasts about a month before it needs charged, couldnt use it due to health issues, gets out alot more now tho

Like everything about these cars the whole battery issue is an odd one. I have left mine for weeks (months?) with no problems, similarly it has gone flat in only one day!

Received wisdom seems to be to buy a trickle charger and simply leave it connected in the garage, that way you should never have a problem. Some people have external, waterproof sockets fitted to make it easier than lifting the bonnet everytime.

Mine lived on a trickle charger, would last about a fortnight, bit longer in the warmer weather. Think it's to do with the old style immobaliser/alarm.

It should last a week at least without use, any less that this you may have a drain, knackered battery or worse alternator - but there are some simple tests you can do to check.

The alarm is pretty power hungry though.
