I really Hope someone out there can help.

Took the Cerb for a spin today, its been running fine for months without any problems apart from the speedo stopping working for half an hour the other week. Today i was stuck in traffic hardly moving in the rain for a good hour when the car stalled, restarted straight away but now the Ignition Warning light is constantly on with the rev counter not working. The weird thing is that now and again the rev counter bounces up to two thousand revs but then bounces back down again.

Anybody got any ideas on how to get the light off and more importantly how to get the rev counter working.

as always thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds like it could be the 'Big Fuse'. Right at the back of the engine, in the centre, you will see a small black plastic box the size of a cig lighter, the fuse is in there. Halfords should have one, 100amp fuse normally used in ICE systems.

A flat fuse like this one here. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DURITE-STRIP-LINK-FUSE-0-378...

If not the fuse it may well be the alternator, as I had the same symptoms and that's what it turned out to be in the end.

Follow the thick red cable from the alternator and you will come across a little black box that shall have a thick red cable going to the starter pop the black box open and the fuse is in there.
