Hi chaps
Finally managed to get these fitted (had them since January!) and I am over the moon! Not only do they look awesome (SP12's in the new anthracite finish) but they have transformed how the car rides, handles and goes. I am very impressed, best modification so far for me!
And one of the Cerb next to my "Mini" lol
Thanks again to Matt at Silverstone Performance for supplying, I'll be up as soon as I have replaced the old fuel lines for geometry!

Apart from the fact they do look really great, have they infact improved the ride, handling or performance in anyway?Finally managed to get these fitted (had them since January!) and I am over the moon! BCA, well spotted with the plate, cannot believe that it hadn't been snapped up before! Only £250! Really chuffed with it 
Yes, the car rides much smoother as the wheels are 3kg lighter than the Spiders I had before, the reduction in unsprung mass makes a massive difference! So much so that I think I will be able to set the Nitrons a bit harder now as the wheel control is that much better.
The car now steers with more precision, finds better traction out of bends as the wheel makes better contact with the ground (and they are 9" wide meaning 255 vs 245 on the Spiders) and stops better too. It even feels slightly quicker than before but that could just be placebo.
And this is the first time I had parked the Clubman next to the Cerb, its massive! Its strange because when you are in the Mini it feels really compact and it is (for a diesel arse dragger) great fun to drive during the week.
All I can say is that if you have been looking at treating yourself to some new wheels, you cannot go wrong with these, superb upgrade IMO.

Haha, the number plate is for geeks like me and, it appears, BCA. "N4" is as close as I could get to "NA" which stands for naturally aspirated (which is what the AJP8 is). FTW = for the win. So I guess its a double geek plate, car geek and computer geek! Meant to say earlier the wheels do indeed look really good

I too noticed a massive difference when upgrading to SP12s from spiders but I'm not sure it was all down to lower mass, there were a few factors at work:The car now steers with more precision, finds better traction out of bends as the wheel makes better contact with the ground (and they are 9" wide meaning 255 vs 245 on the Spiders) and stops better too. It even feels slightly quicker than before but that could just be placebo.
1. Front spiders are the wrong offset
2. Front spiders are the wrong width for the tyre, it is badly stretched over the rim and therefore doesn't work optimally
3. My tyres were old and rock hard
4. The spiders are very weak, 3 of my wheels were very slightly dented or buckled
5. The spiders are heavier
But if you add all the above together it does make a big difference, even in a straight line.
