Anyone know anyone who's used these? www.alloygator.com

Having kerbed my spiders several times these look attractive if they work
(only in black I hasten to add - yellow??!!)

I'd be interested if anyone has used them, not for the Cerb, but for our X5 - the missus seems to use the alloys as parking sensors wink and they're a right mess....

I wonder if you would need to get your wheels balanced after fitting them though??

Looks like a great product; I see from their gallery that most people play it safe and go for silver or black.

As others have said, it's not for me, it's for when the missus drives my car!

I saw these advertised in evo this month. As the King of Kerbing, despite you lot claiming "it's for the missus" I'll stick my hand up and admit I need them for me. paperbag

For £40 its got to be worth a go smile

Maybe even the yellow ones hehe

Right, Ive just sent them an email to see if there is any chance I could have a couple of feet as a sample so I can see if these things will work with my tyres.

Lets see if I get a reply (well one different from "fack off" hehe)

Why not simply learn to drive properly?

Surely you will get a build up of brake dust between the wheel and gator? Will that not eat your alloy?

I like the idea but would worry about how they might work at speed - effectively you are whacking something between the rim and the bead of the tyre, wouldn't that make a weakness?
I suppose though they have been through the proper resting processes.

I've just had a set delivered. Just waiting on my new spiders arriving, hopefully in the next couple of days and we'll see how they go.

Not for me, similar Kudos to driving around with a green "P" sticker on the back of your car...

For the daily run-around that bounces off kerbs in town fair enough but not the Cerb.
