Key fob help

The key fob remote central locking stopped working on Sunday have put in replacement batteries and still cannot lock the car.

Does the fob need to be re-synched? If so how?

The replacement fob does not work at all so can't use the car as I can't lock it.

When you took the key fob apart did you make sure you put it back carefully? Reason I ask is that the plastic bit that presses on the switch is very finely balanced and can be easily put out of place making the fob not work. I'm afraid I dont have either of my fobs with me as car is at the body shop otherwise I would take a picture and show you what I mean.

Tested it outside the case as well, will give Carl a call in the morning.

Lucky for me caught Carl as he was just going on his hols.

Oh no, I now have this. Phoned carl today but he is going on holiday. Changed battery but still not working, could have put it back together wrong. I have the single button fob. When apart I noticed the small red button, what position does this have to be in?

If it's the button I'm thinking of it is just a micro switch.

It is the tiny red micro switch. If someone could take a pic of how its positioned in the casing then that would be a big help. Im not even sure its the fob and could be the car itself.
