Ah i see! I did think to myself I'm sure they could have made it a flush fit. LOL! Maybe i should start asking questions before taking pictures.

At 180mph it stays on?

I always liked to 911 sliding sunroof. Button on the dash to slide it open. I think there is simply no headroom in the Cerb.

I dont know how it is affixed - its work in progress. It doesnt take up any headroom. It is carbonfibre. It hasnt been roadtested at 180mph yet.

Sort of looks good, but I bet it creates a huge amount of buffeting in the cabin at high speeds. I must admit I've always hankered after fitting one of those glass sunroofs that tilt open, just to have the option of a fag smoke extractor device

It will have a small lip or something to stop the buffeting. The guy who did it tells me that when the buffeing started he stuck a couple of fingers up the leading edge and it stopped. It does look pretty good and certainly very very well made and finished (even though it is not completed).

Surely anyone who fits one of those will need a few spare rear windscreens.

I reckon the rear screen would be blown out (like happened on some Tuscans).

I asked about that - as you are probably aware the cerbs had a recall back in the beginnings to have mods below the reare screen to allow the air to flow through. Thre had been a couple blow out. I drive fast with my windows open and never had a problem and havent heard of any other probs for over 12 years or so.

I saw a few weeks back, when they were working on it, lots of time planning and the weight is so light. Finish looks great, I saw in prime mode - and time and quality work put in is another testament to raceproved work. I also love the "Tuscan2" covered light pods, something I wanted to do a while back. When talking to brendon it will also stop the pitting of the lights - I like!

Sorry I think it looks S--te and completely spoils the line of the roof and just to get the top of your head sunburnt it looks horrible, get a Griff or Chimaera if you want the proper open top experience don,t spoil a classic british sports car, sorry if I have upset the owner but that is my thoughts.

Agreed. How to devalue your car in one (not so) easy move. Not to my taste at all. Certainly interesting though.

As a further thought, what would stop someone fitting a glass sunroof as was all the rage in the 80's? GRP roof not strong enough?
