Fantastic. Life is great....Then my day went downhill.
Back suspension colapses. Time to call Mr AA out. What a nightmare trying to get it on the low loader. Took three of them, six planks of wood, and an hour and a half of worry, pulling my hair out (i've got none), to get it on.

Anyway, managed to get it to Joolz who suspects the damper/dampers have gone.

Thanks again Julian, and sorry for interupting your car preperation for tomorrow. You're a star. Hope you have a good raceday. I owe you a

Hi Alistair.

I'm affraid my wallet wont allow a full set of Nitrons just yet. Maybe two, but then they would have needed to go on the front first.
Instead, putting two AVO's on instead of the TVR dampers.

I heard the AVOs are just as good as Nitrons if set up correctly. Also the standard TVR springs are plenty good so you might not need to buy those either!

Listen: Jools should be taking two AVOs off the front of our Cerb, if you get two rear AVOs, then you'll have a set. The AVOs off our Cerb are, according to records, two years old.

Joolz is putting my birthday-present on: a nice set of Nitrons..

Sean. Thanks for the offer. I'll have a word with Joolz about them, and see what he thinks. I assume my front ones are the originals...in which case they'll be 5+ year old. If yours have only been on for a couple of years, then they should be in better condition.
Is your cerb with Joolz at the moment? I noticed a dark one at the time when i dropped mine off. Didn't take much notice though, as i was too pi$$ed off, with what had gone off.
If we think its a good idea, and decide to go for it, i'll get back to you, and we'll sort something out. Thanks again, and Happy birthday.

surely if it was just the dampers there would be no change to the height of the car as the dampers don't actually conrtol that.

Did you mean the springs??

We dropped it off on Saturday afternoon. But I'm never, ever going to eat a cheeseburger from the place down the road again!!

Sorry to hear about your car. Hope it's as good as new soon!

Hi Sian.

Must have just missed you both on saturday again, i think last time you brought your car in, you'd just gone when i turned up.

Thanks again for the offer of the AVO's; i'll be contactind Joolz later on to see what he thinks.

The cheeseburger was bad then was it. Never had one from there. I think i'll give the place a miss.

Speak to you soon.

Mick: we must stop - er - not meeting like this. Sean's got your message, he'll mail you back when he gets a minute. The Little Chef side is okay on the whole, but don't try the Burger King!

Joolz: it was (points accusatory finger) Burger King! I thought it was dodgy, my cheeseburger was only lukewarm. But I munched it without thinking because I was trying to feed SBaby at the same time. Won't do that again!!

Does this count as naming and shaming? Sorry Ted!

SGirl/TamLin,

Was it you I passed on the M1 on Saturday, just north of the A43/M1 services?

Neil.

No, I don't think so. The only TVR we saw all day was a Griff on the M1 - Tam Lin was in the Cerb and I was following enthusiastically in the Flying Fridge (white Volvo T5!).

We're off in that direction again next weekend - we'll give you a wave if we see you!

Hiya Mick,

If we're on our way back from Joospeed it'll have a purple Cerb not far in front of it. Otherwise, you'll be able to identify it by the sound - we fitted an SS exhaust (cat back) last year and since then it's made a good rumbly noise which improves when it's had a decent run.

Must have been some other Cerbera then.

I'll be picking mine up on Friday.

Hi.

Missed you again Sian.

I looked out for the flying fridge; even looked to see if you were throwing a brick through the little chef's window. I guess you have to plan around sbaby's needs. I dont have this problem now, as mine are a lot older.

Hope you and Sean are pleased with the Nitrons. Have a good run home.

Morning Mick!

Yup, missed you again - sorry! It's not so much SBaby's needs that determine what time we get to Joospeed, but rather the 2 1/2 hour drive to get there. Plus the fact that there were quite a lot of cars getting pulled over on the motorways on Saturday morning, so we were behaving ourselves a bit...

We actually stopped at the Little Chef again! And because SBaby had to have his lunch, we dared to eat there too - nothing to report this time, fortunately. We didn't go near Burger King, though!

The Nitrons are utterly, utterly fab! The bigger wheels are an improvement, too. Hope things worked out okay with your suspension!
