Couple of Questions!!
Discussion
Just wondering if any one could help?????
My alarm fob stopped working properly last week and i assume it's the batteries. I opened up the fob to find two thin batteries in there (Mounted on top of each other)! Is this normal or should there be one large one here??
My next prob is that i need to press the door release switch on the drivers side quite hard to open the door! Has anyone else had this prob? Is it easy to remove & replace?
Cheers, Phil...

Phil,
i had to change the batteries in my fob a few months back. It was quite a while ago, but i am sure mine had x2 batteries in there too - available from any local jewellers for £3 - and now it works a treat.
Funny you should mention the difficult door release - mine sometimes takes a good press before it opens, but i am sure this is not a problem as it has been like it all the time. Looking at it, i think i have lost the outer black rubber cover on it

had a problem with my passenger door release a while back. Andy at APM sugested a squirt of WD 40 up it using the fine tubey thing it worked a treat! yuo have to remove the mirror glass to replace the switch which is a case of pull and pray.. 7 years bad luck then
try the WD40 trick first
cheers

When i said "not working properly" i meant the fob needs a good hard press on most occasions to work.
It regularly takes me a good few mins presssing & praying hoping that the damn thing will work.
(Like this Sunday, stood outide B&Q looking daft because cant get in the car!!!!)
dont they all do that sir?......

Agree. Don't just press it, hold it for 2-3 seconds. If it's still not working often, it could be the switch as much as the batteries.
