Should i sell up & possible alternative?

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advise/oppinions.
Had the cerb for almost a couple of years now & when i get to drive it, i love it! Problem is, i hardly ever get to drive it, I was hoping to get involved in the whole cerb scene, just too busy so never really done it.
I run another car for work as not suitable for cerb as up in London a lot, so have started to look around for a possible replacement that i could drive every day. I'm not fussed about the wasted money on fuel for big engine sitting in traffic, i'll justify to myself by running one car rather than 2! I like the look of Maserati's, possibly the 4200 cambiocorsa or grand sports, does anyone have an oppinion on these or any other suggestions, i'm obviously looking for close(ish) performance, but slightly more practical.
However I do know if i sell up, i'll be gutted 5 or 10min later.....

The Masers are fast and comfortable. But they are not an event like a cerb. Nothing this side of a Ferrari or Lambo will compare imho. If I was looking for an all rounder I would look at a 911 turbo. In fact I have been drawn towards porsche after every TVR but end up with another TVR each time.
I did the Cannonball Run Europe in a Gran Sport a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. It's based on the Ferrari 430 engine and, in a drag alongside a 430 on the autobahn, there was nothing in it for straight line performance between 70 - 160 mph.
It handled well, including getting well spanked on a track day on the Hungaro-ring, provided fast comfortable and entertaining transport with a real sense of occasion. With a sports exhaust on it sounds every bit as exotic as a Fezza too.
The only marmite thing about them is the fact that the Gran sport is only available with the robotised manual box, I wasn't a great fan at first but soon got used to it and could happily have one as a daily driver.

Your mate is right, since the end of last summer, probably september, it's been to bristol once & done a few local trips, but having a few repairs at the mo which has taken weeks, which has also give me the hump, as i've missed a bit of good wather, hence the possible change. Probably wont sell till after the summer if i do.

What are they like to drive? I'm not of fan of Auto's, but paddleshift may be ok... as far as paddleshift goes was the one you drove ok? I'd imagine some are a lot smoother than others.. right? They're fine once you've got used to them. I was very sceptical at first but, after about three thousand miles around Europe, became converted.
Previously I would never have considered a paddle shift box, but now I would. I'd recommend an extended test drive though so that you get a chance to really acclimatise to it.

If you are thinking of a maser then try one. If you want something comparable to the cerb then the 3200 - and not 4200 are waht I would go for. Bags of Character and the only car of many that I do miss. Superb interior and a stunning engine note.

Going through the classifieds on here, the 3200/4200/gransport dont look a million miles apart?
Assuming the gransport is the highest spec & newer, hence the highest price. 3200's are very reasonable.
Why would the 3200 be preferable to the 4200. Sorry in advance if daft question.

Agreed, very nice car. Think i'll keep Cerb for summer & maybe go for the gransport after that. I love the cerb, 4.5 & low milage & mint condition, so reluctant to sell, just dont drive enough, need something i will use every day. Also the cerb needs to be driven, sitting around & hardly ever moving cant be doing it any good at all.

I have a friend with one of these, nice engine note, yes, but the interior? I had a go in an auto and then a manual 3200 when they came out. Epic car, if I'd had the cash I'd have had one in a blink..
If and when I get shot of the cerbera I suspect it will be either for a 911 (sorry chaps there is an itch I need to scratch) or an Aston..
Or I'll be back in a derv BMW
