The Chim grill is fitted in a recess same as standard grill. The Cerb in the picture has had the central grill bar removed, that the number plate attaches to, and had mesh fitted on the back of the intake, because there is no recess. Proper stainless mesh available from Halfords for approx £30.

Cheers, Al.

Leven dont do one for the cerbera. It also looks like the middle bar has been removed. Maybe to help keep it cool in summer, as well as for the looks.

I think it makes it look much better

even more of a muscle car

might have to invest in one!

on another note does anyone have any pictures of a cerbera with the new speed 12 lights fitted by zertec they look nice on the small picture on their site but i wouldn't mind seeing what they look like on the car.

You're either going to have to commission a body shop to knock one up for you, or make it yourself
Not sure on the arrangement on Cerbera's but I imagine they are similar to Chimaeras........

..........so remember you've got to be able to take the grill out to change indicator bulb/headlight bulbs, it would be a pain if you siliconed it in only for a bulb to blow the week after

I had a go at fashioning a black metallic grille a few months back. Got it to the perfect size & shape (trial & error), then couldn't find a good way of attaching it.

i don't think it looks great on the picture of the chimera but looks awesome on the cerbera at the top of this post!

By the way my previous car was an MR2 and it smelt of rose petals with a hint of burnt rubber definatley not turd, The cerbera is much faster but the MR2 can hold its own especially my one . . . detroys a standard tuscan to 60 MPH and would do 24,000 miles between major services.

www.atomservices.co.uk/mr2/

wanna see click on the video link on the page and see the 0-60 time at tracks 2002.

Bye for now

i sold it to a guy in chester he wanted something faster than his current elise

I didn't want to sell it as i spent many years styling and improving the car but in the end to get any more performance out of it would have cost thousands and i would have only got another 50 BHP at most.

So it was time to move on to something made for speed the cerbera dont suppose anyones got a nice 4.5 paris blue or any other mega colour thy wanna sell for around £23,000??

as you can tell from my MR2 i like loud colours however i don't like the cerbera in yellow doesn't quite work for me!

I have a Zertec grill on my Griff which is very similar in concept.

www.pistonheads.com/picterms.asp?picture=tvr/griffith/images/griff-02.jpg

In this case the actual grill apeture is a new moulding requiring some GRP surgery which was done at the same time as the light conversion, but the stainless mesh is simply cut larger that the hole and secured from behind using screws and washers plus the odd cable tie in strategic places.

The same thing could be done with a cerb very easily I'm sure. The only thing is that for the full effect the centre bar from the existing grill opening would need to be removed. Was there not an article in sprint last autumn about just such a project?
