Has anyone fitted speakers in the footwell kickpanels, or is there anything in there to make this impossible/inadvisable? Looking at the 3 way infinity component system but need somewhere for the woofer (tweeter & 100mm unit would already have homes in the door)

Biggest problem will be the depth of the sub. They tend to be quite deep and there isn't too much room available.

Apart from putting your foot on it, the ECU's in the footwell. Put thr sub between the back seats in the helmet holder.

Yep, that's the one. Sounds good and doesn't use up any useful space.

No, but your ears aren't good enough to work out where low frequencies come from (better at mid-high).
For example, many satelite component hife speakers (such as Bose) recommend that the bass unit is the same distance away from the listener as the rest of the speakers (so the sound arrives at the same time) but don't insist it's in the same position as the other speakers.

Spot on Darren. I think anything below 90 hertz; you can't detect where the base is coming from. Bose have done this for years with their accoustimas systems, as Darren has said.
