Transmission is very robust, though clutches seem to require reasonably frequent renewal like may high performance cars. V8's are generally good (certainly the late cars with the bigger crank journals and revised counterweights as per those you have posted links to).

At that price point I'd want to get an independent inspection by someone reputable to check for the usual glitches.

PHeads advertised car has beenfor sale for a while.
Neither garage will know a good cerb from a bad one.
The Pheads ad car seems strange - angled rear plate but with the pod style tuscan lights. Not seen that mix before on a 4.5?
