Octane Booster?

Is it worth using a decent octane booster in Cerb (S6), with either normal or super unleaded? Would super with octane booster be better than super on its own? Normal unleaded with octane booster better than normal super?

Only if you set the timing to take advantage of your now higher grade fuel. Then when you have run out you would need to reset.

I won't go near the stuff.... EVER.
Octane boosters certainly boost octane. However the true octane of the fuel/booster mix is variable based on the Toluene in the fuel mix to begin with.
Fuel is prepared in batches and naturally boosted in order to achieve the rated pump octane level. The amount of booster (Toluene and/or other components) varies wildly based on the base stock.
So add a booster to an already high boosted stock fuel and you get a mild increase in Octane. Add a booster to an already low boosted stock fuel and you get a high increase in Octane.
It makes it impossible to tune for as your boosted fuel Octane rating varies from fill to fill.
You could batch your own (and test Octane levels) or test Octane on every fill. Personally I find it considerably easier to buy a rated Octane gas from the pump or race shop.
