Well, trip to Austec with my local car club for a power run today and I am not happy with the results!!!

302 hp @ fly with 246 lb/ft.

Suggested throttle linkage and Pots. Got home and checked the Pot readings and they are waaaaay out 14.4% at idle then from idle to 40% throttle there is a 5-7% imballance between the two banks!! eeek

Lambda all ober hte place bouncing from 0-1.0v probably a result of the pots. Chacked the adaptive maps and it's reading 35% in places!!! 15-20% is bad enough.

WOT fuelling is out at 92% throttle too 6ms for bank one and 6.3ms for bank two.

Think I'll be out sorting that lot next weekend!

Other issue is the clunking that has developed from the rear end, it was suggested that it was the upper 4 rear mounting bolts but I returned home check these and all were fine nice and tight. Diff doesn't appear to move much when rocking the wheels yet you can really hear in in the car!

Only good thing was managing to smoke the tyres at 100mph and the rolls!!!

Throttle pots out, lambda sensors all over the place, drivetrain shunt...

I had all those last friday and it turned out to be a dodgy connection somewhere. Topcats spent a lot of time swapping out lambda sensors, ECUs etc... couldn't find the problem, however once all the original stuff was back in the car it was perfect. We still have no idea which connection was dodgy, but I'm not complaining!

A suprisingly cheap fix compared to the past few months expense I've also fixed my flickering main beam by bypassing the melted connector and we managed to weld up the dipstick too.
A successful weekend all in all

The drivetrain shunt only happens with you lift off after hard accel not like it's hunting along.

The hesitiation at low speed s defo the Throttles though as they're miles out. Would show the plot but the Recorder on the lappy didn't work.

I'll post teh Adaptive maps when I get 5 so you can see how bad they are!!

I got a surprise the first time I saw this. The Lamda's are supposed to do this. They only have two readings +1 and 0v. This reading is what is used to set the fuel to air ratio. The notes accompanying the program give some more details

You want to get a Speed Six engined Cerb.
Won't leave you 50-120 bhp short.

(We won't go into the explosive tendancies of the S6 now though hey )

What with this and the other post RE Disappointing Performance, i am a little 'disappointed' to say the least after having gone for it and bought a Cerb in October last year thinking i had one of the fastest things on four wheels, then only to learn all this and the inaccurate bhp readings. What next i wonder?

If some Porsche or other marque drivers read any of this, then their grins when they spot a Cerb may be a tad 'tongue in cheek'. Anyone got any positive performance anecdotes?

PS i still think mine is as fast as and love it to bits!

I think you'll find that the other thread was just down to misinterpretation of the RR results, rather than an actual lack of performance.

You do. The BHP figures might be out, but the performance figures are pretty much spot on (assuming you can get traction & are willing to fry your clutch). Try racing a standard 996, a 355, whatever, and I'm sure that (when they catch up) they won't be laughing at your exaggerated BHP claims.

Next? Spend no more than £1k on a new ECU & rolling road session, and get the claimed output from your car. And add a couple more bits of exotica to the list of cars you can leave for dead.

I had some fun with a Civic Type R at the weekend whilst out for a drive. Must've beaten him in rolling sprints about 4 times, he still wouldn't quit trying to race.
