Where are all the 17" wheels?

I've been looking for a set of 17" wheels to mount with 888s and use for track work, but can I find any? Loads of 16" Saturns for sale, but the 17s are like hen's teeth.

Don't suppose anyone's swapped for 18s and still have a set of 17s (preferably RLs, but ultimately I'm not fussy) lying around?

I have a set that's been sat in my garden for the last 3-4 years. Trouble is people don;t want to pay any money for them so I'm never tempted to sell as I'd probably end up paying more to buy a set back in the future.

Not sure why I need 3 sets of wheels thought.....

It's odd, I couldn't find any a while back, but then loads came up, now have a few sets in the garage.

One set came from TVR Glen, on eBay, described as 'fully refurbished', take that with a pinch of salt, but they are perfect for slicks or track rims. :-)

I've been waiting on a pair to come up too, only the 2 mind. I have a set of 18's I want to keep for the back as they are a larger rim. Missed a set recently painted black with slicks on for £250 all in.............

i remember my old sets were porous, however didn't bend like my spiders.

There are several sets of 17" wheels of some description on www.ebay.co.uk at the moment.

I was looking to see if there were any steering racks on there and I remember seeing lots of wheels.

Yep those were mine Harry! The 17" fronts do steer better, no contest, but 18" rears you have loads more options.

Yep I bought those and very nice they are too. Cheers Brummie. Also agree with Brummie with the 17s on the front the steering is sharper.
