Has anyone tried changing their Cerby's gearbox for something different? I really like the idea of a 6 speed box with the ratios set up to get a bit better 70-120 acceleration, and having 6th a bit longer to save some petrol on the motorway (and gear the car to go past 200).

Indeed they have.

One currently up for sale has the option of a Tuscan C/R Racing Dog Box.

And then there is this:

Cheers Graham - wasn't planning on owning "Cerbera Experimental Prototype XP-1", tho! I spotted that CR dog box on that advert a while back, and was wondering if it'd be any use for standard running, rather than just track days. There must just be some standard 6 speed box out there that'll fit in, tho???

thanks for drawing my attention to the fact my car was still up for sale.... I have since found another use for it so have removed the ad! As for the gearbox... its fantastic, cuts down the acceleration times, no big drop of in revs on changing up!, so you can change gear at full tilt in a bend, and all the benefits of left foot braking so you can halve the braking envelope!, it screams like a nutter but worth everybit! had no problems with it, easy to use with a little bit of practise and patience! a must have!

So is the gearbox still for sale? And how much was it to start with (if you don't mind me asking)?

9k?!

4 weeks will fly by now.

So what is the new use for the Cerbera? Will you be using it on the track with the CR gearbox?
