Back from Le Mans

Got back from a 4 day trip to Le Mans last night, did just over 600 miles, and the only issues I had were a broken bonnet locking rod on the passenger side and a broken dipstick. Had to tape the corner of the bonnet down for the rest of the trip as it happened about 5 miles from home on the outbound trip and the dipstick sheared just under the handle after I had checked the level yesterday morning, fixed that by wrapping a cabletie through the handle and attaching it to the fuel rail. Guess I need to try and get them repaired as I can't find anywhere that sells them.

You can just see the tape on the passenger side corner under the windscreen



And had my support vehicles on hand to give assistance

Same here

Great journey down and back and not one problem to report (wiper performance apart)

10 years going to Le Mans in various cars and this was the best trip by far!

Highlight for me was being asked by a Boxster owner for a jump start as his battery had died

So much for those unreliable 'plastic pig' comments I got

I followed you and another TVR for a bit heading down to Alencon from Rouen. I was in the black Aston V8 Vantage.
Your Cerby certainly sounded like it was in rude health

hi there guys, glad everyone had a good time and got back safely, i took my cerbi down there and just had a front caliper stick on most of the way there and back, nice and hot!!!, and im sure the disc now looks like it just came off one of the Lemans race cars.

No problems at all, been 8 times now only problems I have had is big fuse went once and split water hose.

i came across the blue cerbera accident about an hour out of Calais on thursday am, hope the driver was OK, it looked pretty nasty with the police and fire engine in attendance cutting the driver out...

deffo a Cerbera, they had cut the roof off and it was leaning against the hard shoulder wall
