Flywheel required

Adrenochrome has been told by his "specialist" that the early flywheels were smaller, but I'm told by another TVR specialist that the same flywheel was used throughout, so any V8 one should fit. Is that not right?
It will fit but you might have difficulty bolting the clutch on or when that is done, changing gear... There have been several different flywheels: same external diameter but wildly different profiles which complemented the different clutches. You need the right flywheel to match the clutch otherwise you have problems.

However, AFAIK, Adrenochrome had a new clutch fitted last year, and that involved him paying for a new bellhousing, so I suspect that he already has the upgrade to the later system and that his so-called specialist is either (a) lying or (b) a complete incompetent idiot.
If you're reading this, so-called specialist (who, in line with PH rules, I won't name), sue me. Unlike some of your customers, I DO have a nose for bulls
t.all flywheels were same diameter very early ones had the cluch drive lugs intergrated to the fly, middle type didn't, both of these type clutches had non cush drive centre plates later ones did which required the new type fly due to the deeper clutch(due to the cush drive)not clearing the flywheel bolts, both early type have long been discontinued so if it's been changed in the last few years the only type available was the later setup HTH
