I am about to connect an amp and cannot decide whther to take the live feed direct from battery, or from fuse box (which since the amp will be in the boot is a lot easier). I notice that there are two brass terminals inside the fuse box. Does anyone know what wiring feeds to these? Any other tips welcome.

I would use the terminal behind the fuse box as the main lead from the battery goes to it and the shorter you can keep the wires the better. I used the chassis to bolt the earth lead to as it is very easy to get to behind what some call the helmet holder.

I did the same as Kevin. Its a lot easier than getting the live through the bulkhead.

Be a little bit careful when wiring from existing points in the electrical system. The cables are generally rated for the equipment that will be connected to them.

If you add further loads then you run the risk of overloading the cable. A typical 500W amp could draw around 35Amps when operating.
