RHD to LHD conversion possible ?
Discussion
There was a yellow LHD cerbera for sale here in Belgium. In the ad the guy stated it was one of a limited run of Cerbs converted by either the in Switzerland or Sweden at a cost of (I think) €12,000
Unfortanately he wanted something like €50K for it, which considering its age, made it a bit over priced for my liking
As has already been said "why"

Here it is for sale on the Belgian TVR club website. It does not say a price, but I am sure it was originally advertised at €50K which seemed a bit steep considering the age/mileage. It has been up for sale for about 1 year now, so the price may have dropped a little

Actually there are 2 LHD cerberas there for you to choose from!

Isn't it the same car that is for sale on the carclassic website ?

However, the washwipe / wiper speed buttons are also reversed.

The speedo only goes up to 300kph, too. That's about 185mph by my reckoning... Interesting that it doesn't go as high as TVR claim the car'll do 195mph.
(Then again, the HTML version of TVR's site currently claims that a 4.2 has a 4815cc engine in it!)
I've just returned from running a RHD Cerbera in Spain for 4 years. I never found it to be a problem (driving was mainly on dual-carriage roads). However, unlike the UK, some countries do not permit local registration of a car where the steering wheel is on the "wrong" side. What's the position in Switzerland?

RHD is not a problem in Switzerland. I imported an (RHD) Aston Martin 20 years ago and use it regularly.
However, sometimes it's really inconveniant for example when getting a parking ticket in the garage or when overtaking...
I had the only cerbie 4.5 in CH back in 2000 - the yellow one was then owned by a german dentist and had been converted by the swiss dealer. I drove that one and it was fine.
But having a RHD (mine was bought via the swiss dealer and left RHD) is no problem for overtaking as you can lean across a bit and see easily when alone. As for car parks etc. its a pain but in CH you can leave your car on the street and no one will bother it except to gawp!
But - if you import your uk car into CH you'll have to run it through the CH homologation tests as the cerbie is homologated there. i.e. noise test (v. difficult to pass) and other crap. This costs lots of CHFs....
And, when it breaks down you'll find the dealer hasn't got a clue....
