A Day Trip To Essex
Discussion
With my local regional meeting just 5 minutes away at the moment and being on
a promise to return, it was off to the Mid Essex TVRCC meeting today and
a wonderful 250 miles round trip return to true Cerbera driving.
You'll no doubt read else where what a huge success the day was for the Mid
Essex region (100 cars was it?) but I'd like to thank everyone and in particular,
Pauline Ray and Paddy (Satman) for making us so welcome.
I passed a couple of Cerbera's as we approached the meeting, so there were
at least around 15 Cerbera's in attendance today.
I kept a low profile due to the eye today, so I apologise if you I didn't get
to speak to anyone here, but I hope you like the shots below taken on my phone!
As for Cameron, that was me who you met at the roundabout on the way in.
Thanks for the displays enroute and I have no idea how we managed to miss
each other for that chat once again, sorry about that!
Thanks again Mid Essex for a great day.
Go create some weather...

Graham,
Good to see you today, and glad you made the trip home safely!
yes it was some turn out....doubt there is another meet in the country that can boast figures of 80 odd Tivs, 10 Rarris, 2 Nobles and a GTO....not bad for this time of year!
I'll have to arrange a return meet sometime and visit you all up in Northants.
I will mail the 'write-up' as discussed, to you in next few days

Sorry for the no show.
The list of problems was long and convoluted, but killer was the dead battery problem seems to have manifested itself from "the big fuse" and at 9am on a Sunday morning there are very few places open that sell 100 amp fuses
. Still, I've got some time now to get it sorted before the next runout
. Darren.

Could it really be true you carry your own weather with you??
A mix of sun, showers and almost zero cloud base was the order of the day for my trip.
The wind was howling a gale as I took these and as I shot the last Cerbera...
and moved onto the 'Rarri's, Viper, Noble area, the heavens opened, so we headed for
the tasty Sunday roast.
Spooky really?!

Considering I use my car as a daily, not much of an excuse really.
I suppose what really killed it was the 9am start on a Sunday. I try on a sunday to stay tucked up
under the duvet till about 10.
I spent the rest of the weekend trying to make amends to the car by finally getting the waxoyl out.
Rust is a scary thing.

Looks like there were a few Cerberas there then. Never seen a white one before, and the one in the next to the last photo; different lights, wheels etc...
