The Headlight conversion # 3
Discussion
The final stage of paintwork is completed by the rubbing down, or 'flatting back' of the lacquer with a very fine wet and dry sand paper, which is then polished with a hand held electric polisher, to give the 'showroom shine' to the paintwork.
Final work on the car, is the fitting of the headlamps and set up, 'blacking' under the wheel arches and refitting of the accessories such as side indicator repeaters, number plate and wheels.
A final coat of wax polish finishes off an excellent job.
As a final note I would like to once again thank the guys, Paul and Jon at Ewelmes Coachworks, for a fantastic job, and their help in taking these pictures and assistance in the write up, so that I was able to share this with everyone.
Thanks to Graham/GCerbera I have now cracked the photo thing. Bought my car in Jan 2002 with the headlights (and rear lights) already converted and with a bonnet vent to "improve stability at high speed". It lacks the small extra lights at the front which later models have and the indicators are still orange, so I ought to get those done I suppose!

Great pics. Looking to buy a cerby in the next two weeks and want to get the headlight conversion done straight away. Where have people had this done and how much was it? I know a couple of you have posted prices etc, but wondering if you have specific garage websites/numbers?
Where is Ewelmes Coachworks based. I can't seem to find as site for them on the net?
Also looking to get the spider 18" alloys. Are these best haggled from the main dealer?
Cheers guys, any help appreciated.
