Alone in the dark: Low beam with slack joint

Hey guys,

I have a new (hopefully small and fixable) problem with my 97 Cerb 4.2, old headlamps.
My low beam stops working every now and then (slack joint). When I quickly switch on high beam it works perfectly and when I switsch high beam off again low beam immediately comes back to work to then go off again after a while. Positioning light is not affected, works as normal and so does interior illumination of dials etc.

I guess it must have something to do with a loose connection but where do I start searching?

check the light control unit above the petrol tank as terminals normally burn out in plastic plug

In boot on top of the fuel tank to the far right.

Check the connections on the dim-dip unit for burning or just being loose.
