Hi Peter, cerberas are same offsets as front Tuscans, however some say Tuscan rears may clear the rear arches on some cars. TVR hand built peculiarities!

My 97 Cerb has tuscan rears on, and they have never rubbed yet.

I have rears (33 offset) on my 2001 rears and they rub on severe left-handers.

Well i'm going to get them as spares and if they don't fit i'm sure someone will buy them, they will be spares for an 04 cerb which spiders already on it.

Hello sir! Mine came straight off a Saggy. All I had to do is change the front tyres to a 225-40-18 and I kept the 225-35-18 on the rear. It is car specific almost, sometimes this works and sometime you need to get different offsets. I have some steering stops if you want them, I didnt use them.

This is the thread from where I asked about mine:

Hope that helps

Hello peoples,

I'm reigniting this thread because it seems the most relevant to my current predicament, I hope someone on here might be able to assist.

My 97 Cerbera was bought with 2 x Tuscan fronts (with 225/40/18’s), and 2 x Tuscan rears (with 255/40/18) 18” spiders. The car looks great with the wheels sitting really nicely in the arches, generally there’s no problem on decent motorways and A roads, but it suffers when the surface becomes slightly uneven and then the rears start to rub.

I know the trick is to fit fronts all round but during a trial fit yesterday the centre cap of one of my fronts popped off when fitted to the rear of the car, seemingly because the stub of the axle/hub protrudes too far. Do I have to fit different centre caps or is there something I am missing here?

Regards,
Olly

Yeah the TVR "mod" is to hacksaw off the extra bit of stub axle that stick out from the nut. Don't use an angle grinder or it will get too hot.

We got front Tusans all round from the TVR factory back in the early 2000s & that is what they told me to do!

Right then, new wheels have been sourced and I'm picking them up in the morning, the car is up on axle stands with the current wheels removed. scratchchin So, just before I go crazy with the hacksaw, I wanted to check one last time that this is the right thing to be doing! yikes How much do I need to trim off the stub axle? I only have about 7 to 8mm of thread sticking out of the nut, is that going to be enough??? confused

I recall it being really easy to judge ie put the wheel on and take a look.
I think you just cut it back as far as you can (from memory). Make sure its a decent hacksaw or like me you will be there for hrs and have an arm the size of tree by the end.

Engineers rule of thumb is to leave at least a thread and a half clear at the end of the Nut.

Come on Gary, I'm always easy to tell by touch in a dark room - naked, oiled and wearing night vision goggles.
