What's under my feet?

If I'm pressing on and go quick through a left hander I can feel something slide to the right and clonk right under my feet. Can't make it slide back and it only does it once on a trip.
Almost like a spanner or something sliding around. Very odd. Car handles/drives perfectly, just wondering what to look out for when I go out to the garage on night next week.

Very odd!! there is nothing under your feet well apart from carpet and fiberglass lol.
Behind the pedals is a bit of carpet that hides, if I remember correctly, some brake pipes. You might have a socket that has fallen down there and is sitting behind the carpet in a small void. Unless there is something in the chassis tube under the floor pan but doubt anything big enough would be in there that you could hear!

Could it be something like the rear drop links. Mine was doing similar as one of the bearings had gone, the bearing kept popping in and out of the housing. The noise and vibration transmitted through the car.
Thing is there is no noise or vibration at all. Ever. Just the one off sliding I can feel right under my heals.FarmyardPants said:
On the subject of drop links, I'm fed up with my rose-joint style links clicking and clunking. They've been nothing but hassle (including one shearing off) so I'll be going back to rubber bushed ones. Just thought I'd feed that back for peeps who might be thinking of 'upgrading'...

. I was warned that they don't last long when I had them fitted, but I was on a mission to rid my car of rubber - in a bid to stop clunking noises due to worn out bushes, ironically. Now every time I go round a corner or one wheel goes over a speed hump I am reminded of my drop links. Clunk click every trip as Jimmy Saville used to say. But back on topic I doubt it's caused by this as the OP only gets it once per trip.

But back on topic I doubt it's caused by this as the OP only gets it once per trip.Jacked it up last night and got the wheel off, no sign of anything apart from a couple of stones stuck behind the plate that protects the outrigger (I think that's aftermarket). Nothing loose or wobbling there, and nothing trapped under the plate that covers the sump. Very odd.
Next I'll take a look inside under the pedals etc.
