4 beeps on locking means?

What?

Can't figure it out. Don't have the handbook to hand (no pun intended) and am getting 4 beeps when I lock the Cerb. All doors, boot and bonnet appear properly closed.

Any clues chaps?

Mine does it too - and if I recall, I have disabled the internal sensor 'cos I was having problems with false alarms.

After I did this, it beeps 4 times upon locking.

Yes, but in true random TVR fashion, mine has just started to do it! If I had disabled something, I'd understand.

Possibly a sensor on one of the doors/boot not recognising that it's closed - I had this on the Sagaris at the weeekend after opening and closing the tailgate a few times it registered it was shut and stopped beeping when I set the alarm.

Its telling you a door or the boot is open.

Chances are its a broken sensor. The boots the easiest to check first

Yep mine was the boot sensor when my alarm did this. Look at the left hand side
with the boot open in the corner you'll see a small l shaped plunger that the folding
mechanism extends when you close the boot. Give it a wiggle as it can look ok but be
broken.

Is it the same as the boot light switch?

I think so , guess the alarm sees the voltage as the light comes on.
You'll also get a flat battery if it's this one as yes, the boot light will stay on.

Car is now at Dulford, having lunched it's clutch. I have no doubt the two are connected!!!

Anyone know how to fix this sensor back in place? For some reason I took mine out, and it seems as though you have to cut a hole in the side of the car to put it back in!? lol

There's a small hole where it should sit, a thread comes out of the back of the
sensor. Reach up above the wheel well from inside the boot there will be a single
wire with a washer on the end of it, pop this over the thread and put a nut on to
secure it.
Update it isn't a thread on the sensor it is a bolt through it .
