cant open passenger door!

Managed to blow the horn and stereo fuse while fixing the lighter socket in my cerb. Since then I have not been able to open the passenger door from either outside or inside. Is this coincidence or have I knackered something else. Anybody else had this problem and if so how did you fix it.
I am a complete numpty when it comes to these things but I just havent got the time to get it to the garage so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the corresponding fuse for the door opener? I say that as the cigarette lighter (or the fiddling of) has a tendency to take a number of unrelated fuses out. Once I bought a cheap Chinese 'TVR' lighter off eBay and it took out 8 fuses

I have just gone to the car to check othr fuses etc and cant open the boot now. Just keep getting a clicking noise.

how do I open the boot. I can get in the car but I cant open the passenger door or boot

Ditto - Don't ever buy one (well you can buy it if you want, just make sure you don't use it)

Try pushing down, or lifting the boot while pressing the button. Sounds like the lock mechanism needs either adjusting or greasing. If that doesn't work..... you'll need to use the secret way
