Whoo hoo getting it back (but can't) :-(

Car has been in for service and to swap out the new radtech rad (that sprung a leak!) plus a few other jobs to make it perfect and prep it for the winter.
So car is ready for pick up, havent driven it for 3 weeks, so am excited....

BUT I work in London and Edinburgh, the car is in Sheffield, I wont be home (near sheffield) before Fri evening and leave again Monday for a week away before a holiday starts the following weekend. The garage is shut Saturday (the staff that could open up are away). Aggghhhh if only my wife would drive it!

Just had a call to say mine's ready for collection after the new gearbox has been installed (twice - but that's a different story...), AND needing a new front lower wishbone....

Shame I can't drive both at the same time! If you really want, I could collect it and park it on my street for you to collect this weekend? What time are you back Friday / Saturday am?

I'm going up this afternoon to collect mine, but if you like I'll make a return journey and also collect yours - although I suspect that you'll need to call RP to "authorise" me driving your car away..... then you can collect from my house if you get off the train in Sheffield.

Russell is driving my Cerb to my house, I'll then drive him back to RP, he'll drive your Cerb to your house (damn!!! would have liked to get a comparison between our cars!! ) and I'll follow in mine, then I'll give Russell a lift to his house...... Phew!

Looks like the weather will be good on Sat and sh!te on Sunday - enjoy your weekends driving!!!

Wow! I am so grateful mike. And thanks to bob and kev for the offers of help. Thanks Russ for sorting me on your last day of holiday.
Am sitting on 455 from London to chesvegas. Amazing to know that you guys are sorting out my car!!
I will get to drive her this weekend, will be the last time for a few weekends.

There's room in my drive for another Cerbera so it could be left here if needed, it's covered with cameras and some other trick stuff. It sounds like your sorted though.

Gary's Cerbera now safely delivered back to his house! Was thinking of winding him up and calling him to apologise that I'd rear ended his Cerb at Owler Bar roundabout, but not sure that the humour would transfer to a stressed Friday commute back up from London, heh heh

Felt good to driving with another Cerb - we'll have to get the South Yorks Cerbera possie together for next months TVRCC meet - we should try again for that photo...... I seem to recall snow stopped play last time

Kev - I absolutely don't want to be breaking anything else!!!! Guys at RaceProved gave my car a good looking over and discovered a bent lower wishbone on passenger front side when hecking and setting the geometry...... so when that gets replaced the ball joint also needs replacing.... .just to add another few items to the bill!! SWMBO has started to make ominous noises about how much I'm spending on the Cerb at the moment, so I could do with a good few months when I'm not spending small fortunes on it!!

Same here Mike. With what they have taken off and put back on my car I am amazed it all works with no problems at all, it also feels much beter which is a bonus.
Just a few thinks to do myself before the winter and I will just about be starting with a new car next year even though it will be in it's 10th year.
