Steering rack leaks

Is it normal for the steering rack to leak from its input shaft? I'm sure the threads I've seen have talked about the seals inside leaking on the linear motion shaft (sure it’s got a better name, the rack part of the rack & pinion anyhow) but mine is clearly leaking on the input. Just strikes me the input may be easier to fix?

It shouldn't leak there.

It's possible to replace the seals there without removing the rack from the car, you can remove the top-section off the main part of the rack.

As with most things Cerbera, access is limited and makes what should be a relatively easy job into a frustrating and slow one.

The sizes of the seals are in the equivalent parts thread.

The rad & pipe work are all out at the moment, there may be a few more bits coming off soon too so hopefully I'll be able to get at it ok.
