436 bhp so far...
Discussion
Just got a nice text from russ at Raceproved. My Cerb has been on the dyno. It had some headwork a couple of months ago (polishing, matching etc..) and is better balanced and well set up. Fuel map has been slightly altered but hasn't been remapped. Had to alter fuel map as headwork meant the standard fuel map was causing a couple of driveability issues. Standard hoses still in place. Last time (pre head work) it was 414 (I think). Anyway I knew it felt very very fast (especially as joo had adjusted the accelerator pedal so I could get more juice) - it is now 436bhp!
I am pleased with that. I wonder what short induction and full remap might do...!
Thanks Raceproved!

That's a great result, I take it the head work was to even out the CC balance of the factory RR conversion + a bit of gas flowing. not sure how you alter the fuel map but say its not remapped
.
Love the way it revs completely out, wish mine did, I cannot fathom out getting my peak much past 6k rpm let alone 7k, since the last head work its gained significantly on torque but but peaks earlier. saying that I've yet to take it to charlies so won't say too much, although i don't think my peak is much different to that level albeit down at 6k.

Harry - I havent spoken with Russ or Joo yet, so it might be a remap or even a partial remap for all I know. I just assumed that they had only tweaked the fuelling.
The heads had to have some work due to some poor man handling in the past ie looked liked they had been hit with a screwdriver or dropped on gravel! They also had some casting issues from new. So needed some work to get the compression ratio down. So whilst at it did more work to match, smooth etc....
It cetainly seems to rev; very race car but also very driveable. My wife drove it today for the first time. She found it easier than previous ones.

Took it out for a reasonable blast today - quiet (!) country lanes. Wow the car drives so well now. It felt like it was over fuelling previously. Now it just feels so well mannered. It was a great drive - me, the engine, suspension, The Cult, tyres, steering etc all working in harmony!
Nice Figures indeed.
I am pretty sure that the car has been remapped to accomodate the changes that have been made to the engine, even with the recent work adjusting the fueling to optimize performance and safety (over/under fueling) constitutes a remap.
Short induction would most certainly smooth out those 2 big but characteristic humps at 4 and 5.5k rpm, this in itself should be enough to increase peak power, I wouldn't say by a lot but certainly to 340bhp, it will also further improve the driveability of the car. The "Red Rose" or similarly specced engines when mapped well with standard hoses do not gain as much as std engines as the window for improvements is a lot smaller / tigher.
Jules.

Great to hear that you used it hard this weekend! The weather was great on Sunday - took the family out in mine to Monsal for day out; however due to new gearbox have been instructed to take it easy for a few hundred miles to let it all bed in........ ah well, still good to be out in the Cerb and "taking it easy" still means it's faster than most!!

Apparently joo worked his magic for only about 2 hrs. Apparently it has more to come should I have a proper remap and induction etc...
So I would be hoping to knock on 445bhp's door!
I was trying to be conservative...So I would be hoping to knock on 445bhp's door!
You do realise that if you knock on the door of 445bhp, then it would be rude not to hit the magic 450bhp.....
Not sure what exhaust system you are running but a 2.5 inch from linked de-cats back should see you reach that target (445-450bhp).
