Help - Alarm Gone off whilst on holiday - battery now flat!

I was away abroad on holiday for two weeks, and have just got back. About two days in, I got a call from a neighbour saying that the alarm has been going off, and they can't get the key fob to stop it. She mentioned at the time that it was starting to sound quiter now - and 10 days on, the battery is completely flat.
I haven't had the car for very long, so am a complete newbie to this problem.
Apparently the alarmn started after 6 hours of heavy rain - whether this is connected or not, who knows?
Could somebody let me know how to get into the car so I can recharge the battery, and can anyone shed any light as to possible reasons why the alarm could go off, and not respond to the keyfob (It has had a new battery and another neighbour has put a new one in just in case, but to no avail).
The irony is that they think it is very loud when it's running! Even louder when it's not ;-)

If you don't know anyone on here, I doubt anyone will tell how to break into a Cerbera!
So I suggest you leave your location and a mobile number for someone local to you to offer to come over and help.
Or call whoever you bought the car from and ask for advice.
If you have the original alarm system with built in batteries it could be they are failing.
It could be a duff main battery, if the voltage fluctuates that will set off the alarm.
It could be the rain getting into the car causing an electrical gremlin.

But if you just state your Town, you never know someone might be able to pop round in the morning.
Seems once they go, the siren goes off and you can't stop it.
So once your main battery is charged, and then refitted it will recharge the internal siren batteries.
You do have the original Meta alarm?
Then you can do a functional test, by disconnecting the main battery and reconnecting it.
This sets the alarm and locks the doors!!!!
So make sure you have the remote in your hands! Not in the car! Oh and the boot is not fully shut!
When the alarm in set if you disconnect the battery it will trigger the alarm!!
If you have a strong (neighbour annoying response) which you can rest with the remote you could (I would) say your siren batteries are OK.
If your siren batteries are duff?
Alarm keeps going off and can't be reset and you've eliminated all other causes!
Then a replacement siren is required!
They don't make the original M11 siren any more, I managed to get one of the last few left in the Country last year from Abacus!!
However this is a direct replacement.

So, if I reconnect my main battery, then disconnect to set the siren off, but the keyfob won't stop the siren, I'll need to shut it up somehow (or risk lynching by the neighbours!!)?
Where is the siren located so that I can stuff a rag or something into it to dull the noise if the keyfob won't?

You need to reconnect the battery again once the alarm goes off, for the remote to be able to stop the alarm and reset the immobiliser!!
Sounds to me like your problem was just the main battery going flat, so it may just be better to keep it topped up and see how you go.
These cars do seem to drag even a good battery down fairly quickly if left unused.
