opinions sought on new shocks

1997 Cerbera 4.2
Car is sitting half an inch low on n/s/r corner, had a look at set up, all intact but rather worn looking and non-adjustable.
I am looking at fast road use only, lots of B roads about where I live, lots of pot holes as well!
I have been having a look at whats on offer and an leaning towards the 'Gaz Gold Professional' informed opinions please or other suggestions?

I've got them and am perfectly happy. Having said that, I have no doubt that a set of Nitrons would be preferable, if more expensive.

Racing Reds on mine. I think they'e bill but I guess anything would be better than the worn original equipment!

I put Gaz Nickel on mine when I got it 3 years ago. I have just replaced them with Nitrons when 2 of the Gaz stared leaking. The Gas were rather less than half the price of the Nitrons and were fine until they leaked.

The dampers shouldn't be supporting the car (IMHO) so if you are sure bushes and mounts are OK, maybe consider replacing the springs along with the dampers?

Nitrons on mine but Protech went on another car I know and they are great value as has been said before.

+3. Having said that pretty much any aftermarket shocks (properly set up) will be a massive improvement on the standard items.

2000 Mk1 Tuscan on Racing Reds, made a big difference /good set up by PPC and also having new front tyres made a big difference too(225 40 18). It's almost perfect now but might try the front wheel spacers for good measure.

ProTechs here for two years but of the 13-position adjusters they have 1 - 6 is too bouncy to be safe on the road. Easy to fit and adjust - even for a Numpty like me.

Haven't gone harder than 8 yet as I can't afford the dentist.

I have a set of 1 year old gaz gold pros of my Tamora if they will fit I'll do you a good deal only done 3k miles as I have changed to Nitrons.
